The car I use for lessons is an Hyundai i10, fitted with dual controls.  I chose this car because in so many ways it is an excellent car for the job. I didn't buy it because it has to double-up as a car for private motoring, as is the case with so many driving schools. The i10 is a delight to drive - you'll love it.

* Small and nimble. You won't feel intimidated by the size of the car. But lots of room inside.

* Incredibly tight turning circle (4.75mtrs)- less than half that of other cars used for driving tuition, so it's great for doing the Turn-in-the-Road (3 point turn).

* Higher seating position. Gives great views at closed junctions and other difficult situations, making everything so much easier and safer.

* Low gear ratios. Specifically designed for city driving so much easier to learn on and less likely to stall.

* Short bonnet and no protruding boot to the rear. Again there is a better view at closed junctions, and no problem in seeing where the back of the car is.

* Deep door mirrors, electrically operated. This not only gives good general rear vision, but is very useful when reversing.

* Air Conditioning. No matter what the weather is like you will remain cool and confident.

* Lots of headroom. A small car that won't be too cramped for you, even if you are taller than most.
