I would always suggest that you should book just one lesson with any instructor to start with. If you feel that you will get on well with your chosen instructor, then at the end of the first lesson you can happily go ahead and book more, and so benefit from any discounts. If you wanted to book a block of lessons with me, we would book the first session and at the end we go ahead with the block booking when you are happy. More and more pupils are opting for "mega-lessons" as these represent such good value for money, however you pay for them.
If you are looking for some sort of Intensive Course then I'm afraid that I can't help. I don't do such courses for two reasons. First they are not, in my opinion, a good way to learn to drive. You just can't get the experience you need in only a week or two - no matter how much you drive. And secondly, I can't tell my pupils to put their lessons on hold whilst I do an intensive course. I am often able to offer more than one lesson a week - but not 20 hours or more.

"Yes, but how much is it going to cost me to learn to drive?" I hear you say. Well, that's like asking "How long is a piece of string?" People learn at different rates. Some people have a natural driving ability and some don't. Some people can get private practice between lessons and some can't. Some people can only take one driving lesson each week because of financial or other constraints, and some can have lessons every day. All these things will effect the time it takes to learn to drive, and therefore what it will cost.
The Driving Standards Agency says..."Recent research has shown that, on average, people who take about 45 hours professional training, combined with plenty of additional practice, stand the best chance of passing their test. Some people need more driving lessons and practice than others."
You can see that it just isn't possible to predict with certainty, how many lessons you will need. I have, for example, got a pupil through the driving test after only ten lessons. I therefore set out to provide true value for money by delivering professional tuition at all times. Each lesson builds on what you have already learned and your confidence will grow with your skill. Each driving course is tailor- made for each pupil, taking into consideration their availability, finances and past experience.
My free video tutorial has certainly proved an invaluable aid in speeding the learning process. It is available to my pupils free of charge and plays a large part in making lessons enjoyable and above all - value for money.
